PROLINNOVA is a global partnership and NGO- led initiative to build a learning network on promoting local innovation in ecologically oriented agriculture and natural resource management. PROLINNOVA programme builds on and scales up farmer-led approaches to development that start with finding out how farmers/pastoralists do informal experiments to develop and test new ideas for better use of natural resources.

Therefore PROLINNOVA initiated systematic action research to find practical ways to set up financing mechanisms that allow local people to access funds for improving and accelerating their innovative activities related to NRM.
